Giving a testimony - You will be my witnesses
Just Be a Witness—You Don’t Have to Argue Anyone into the Kingdom
In a world full of debates, opinions, and pressure to "prove your point," it's easy to feel like sharing your faith means defending it like a lawyer in a courtroom.
But Jesus didn’t call us to be lawyers. He didn’t call us to be salespeople. He called us to be witnesses.
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses...” — Acts 1:8
Being a witness is simple. You just tell the truth about what you’ve seen, heard, and experienced. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to be real.
You Don’t Have to Argue—Just Share What You Know
When you’ve encountered the love of Jesus, when you’ve felt His grace pull you out of darkness and into light, that’s something you can’t help but talk about.
You don’t need to convince anyone with perfect theology or clever comebacks. Your job isn’t to argue people into the Kingdom. Your job is to testify to what you’ve witnessed, like Jesus said, you will be my witnesses.
If Jesus has changed your life, that’s enough. Just tell people how amazing He is.
The Gospel Compels Us
When you draw near to Jesus, you begin to see His goodness in ways you never imagined. His faithfulness becomes personal. His presence becomes your peace. And before long, you find yourself compelled to speak—not because someone told you to, but because you want to.
You’ve witnessed something too powerful to keep to yourself.
That’s the heart of sharing the Gospel: not pressure, but passion. Not arguments, but awe.
You’ve Got the Power
Jesus didn’t just tell us to be His witnesses—He empowered us to do it.
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...” — Acts 1:8
That promise still stands. If you’re a believer, you have the Holy Spirit. And with the Spirit comes power—power to speak, power to love, power to stand boldly and simply say, “Here’s what I’ve seen God do in my life.”
You don’t have to make anything up. Just tell the truth.
God Is Moving—Are You In?
The Apostle Paul reminds us that God is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20)
God is on the move. He’s healing, saving, restoring, and reaching people all around us. The question isn’t whether God is working. The real question is: Will you be part of it?
If you’ve seen God change your life, then you’ve got a testimony. You’re a witness. That’s your role.
You don’t need to win arguments. Just share what you’ve witnessed. Let the Holy Spirit do the rest.
The Kingdom grows not through clever words, but through courageous witnesses. So go tell someone how amazing Jesus is.
